New Launch Date – 15 January

Xumm Update Confirmed – 18 December
Xumm has confirmed it will release its update with Xahau support on 18 December (19 December our time). We have been waiting for this confirmation. We now know with certainty when the community will have the tools it needs to import their r-address and set a trustline for Evers.

Evernode Launch Rescheuled to 15 January 2024
Obviously, an 18 December release date impacts Evernode’s launch.  We really wanted to launch Evernode before Xmas, but we have decided it best to reschedule our launch to 15 January 2024.

Community Needs Time To Update Their Wallets
The community needs *at least* a week to download the Xumm update, get used to interacting with Xahau, import their r-address, and set an Evers trustline.

Summer Holiday Shut Down In Australia
Unfortunately, giving the community that extra time takes us into the heart of the Xmas season and summer holiday shutdown in Australia. 15 January was chosen as our new launch date because it is the earliest Monday after the Xmas/New Year shutdown that it would be safe to plan a launch.

Next Steps
The most important thing for Evernode, post-launch, is that people who want to run a host on Evernode have a way to obtain the 500 Evers they need to register. Airdropped Evers need to flow from those who don’t want to hold Evers to those that do.

Fortunately, rescheduling the launch to 15 January means people will have additional time to get familiar with trading on the Xahau DEX. It also increases the likelihood of our launch coinciding with a CEX listing of Evers. A 15 January launch date is a disappointing delay for the Evernode team, but it is a very good thing for those who plan to run hosts on Evernode.

For now, we will be downing tools and taking a little break to be with family and friends. We thank you all for your support over the past two years and look forward to the challenges and opportunities of 2024.

A Merry Xmas and a Happy New Year to you all.
